Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
The Omega has alphanumeric caller ID so it recognises the phone number calling you and displays it on screen via bluetooth. With a ghostly blue and white back lit LCD display it looks pretty sexy against the polished metal and black casing of the unit. Also the unique angle tilting of the screen lets you adjust so it s always clear to see who s calling. As with Pama s other Bluetooth sun visor handsfree kits the Omega offers DSP sound quality and simply slides securely into place on your sun visor so there s no installation and you can take it with you wherever you go. Pairing was very straightforward and once it had stored my phone it automatically recognised it each time I got in the car. The Omega also lets you upload your contacts too so it s also handy as a SIM backup in case the worst happens. Voice dialling single button control call transfer last number redial and plenty more features make this a fantastic handsfree. Summary With clear caller display you ll know who is calling before you answer and with superb DSP quality audio you can enjoy crystal clear conversations. This small portable device clips conveniently onto the sun visor in your car and once paired to a Bluetooth device provides a safe handsfree system. With some very nice little touches and a design that would be tough to beat you really don t get much better value for your money. 5 out of 5 stars Very Pleased with the Pama Omega   November 26, 2007

I did read the other reviews before buying the Pama Omega, and the one bad review didn't put me off. I just thought that if it wasn't as good as I expected I could send it back under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 and get a full refund.

This is a very neat bit of kit, with an excellent specification and battery life. I have so far paired it with one phone - a Motorola Razr - which took about 30 seconds. Now, when I get in the car, all I have to do is flip open the screen and press the large button and it automatically connects to the phone. To switch the handsfree off, you just close the screen.

The person who left the negative review said that it isn't loud enough, so this was obviously a concern, especially as my hearing is not very good. But the Pama Omega is very loud and clear - even for me - and people at the other end of the phone can hear you very clearly. I have used it to call my wife in the car, and I can hear her perfectly, even if she talks quietly. I can only suppose that the negative review was from someone who has worse hearing difficulties than me, or that he had a faulty unit.

It is very, very easy to use. To answer a call, all you do is press the large button, and to hang up, press it again! In the same way as I only use one setting on my dishwasher, I don't use all the sub menus on the Pama Omega. After all, I am concentrating on my driving and all I want to do is answer telephone calls easily and safely. The Pama Omega does this superbly.

I have also tried it on my desk. The unit has two very strong magnets built into the back of it so you can fix it to any ferrous surface. It also sits neatly on the back on my PC's keyboard.

I also have a plug-in bluetooth handsfree in my other car. This is the type that has a microphone on a wire that you have to route from the cigarette lighter socket to a position near the top right of the windscreen. It's not a bad unit, but it is messy and doesn't have a readout with the caller ID on it. I have also owned other handsfree kits, and the Pama Omega is the best yet.

If I could think of any criticism, it would be that the instructions say that it should not be left on charge overnight, but should be unplugged when it is fully charged after three hours. That's hardly a fault, but it is all I can come up with.

All in all, I highly recommend the Pama Omega for it's looks, price, convenience and operation - there's no getting away from it - it is superb!

Pama Omega Sun Visor Bluetooth Handsfree Car Kit Caller Name Display Phonebook

This is a smart piece of kit.
The little instruction booklet that comes with it is worth a good read as then setting up the Pama Omega is straightforward.
I found that it linked quickly to my Sony Ericcson phone and transferred all my contacts within three or four minutes and I'm not Billy No-Mates.

I've found receiving calls very easy. Making calls isn't too difficult either though so far I've mostly used the 'voice call' function with my phone.

The item attaches to the sun visor clip (supplied) via two strong magnets. It's easy then to leave the visor clip in place and just remove the Omega on leaving the car. A little pouch or case would have been nice to keep it safe and clean in.

It's a slim object that switches on by pulling the hinged flap at the bottom forward. I made a mental note to open this with care so as to help it have a long life.

So if you read the specification and fancy one then I'd say go ahead and buy one. It's worth the money.

Well I have to say that I bought one of these for my husband last Christmas and it's the only hands free he will use. It's clear and easy to operate, believe me, he wouldn't entertain it if it was complicated! He would be lost without it. The valume is more than fine and the voice dialing works a treat. The person with the negative review must just have a faulty one! I have nothing negative to say about this product at all.

I bought this product as I was getting fed up with wires in my van. I carefully read all the other reviews and decided to go ahead and get one. After using it for three weeks I have nothing but praise for it. Very easy to set up, easy to reconnect with the phone when you get in and out of the car and sits nicely on the visor. I am amazed at the battery life. I fully charged it when I got it and it still has charge in it now after three weeks (and that was after accidently leaving it on for a weekend!) I like the caller display function and the sound quality is good even when travelling fast. Apparantly the sound quality at the other end is good as well (so my Wife tells me). The only thing that I would have to say against it is that the buttons on the front could be difficult to use if you have "fat fingers" I have accidently pressed the wrong button a couple of times.

But I would definately recommend this product as it is great value for the price you are paying and the ease of use is A1
